From Highway 80 – Truckee

From South Lake Tahoe
There are two scenic ways to head north around the lake. On the west side of Lake Tahoe take HWY 89 north around Emerald Bay to Tahoe City. Turn right after passing over Fanny Bridge onto North Lake Blvd. On the east side of Lake Tahoe, take HWY 50 to HWY 28. Follow HWY 28 around lake passing through Incline Village, Kings Beach, Carnelian Bay to Tahoe City. |
