Dinner and A Movie - A Night for Foodies and Film Lovers

Wolfdale’s presents Trattoria at the new Tahoe Art Haus & Cinema Friday, September 5th, 6 PM

In 2010, Douglas Dale of Wolfdale’s and daughter Christine Dale were heavily involved in the making of a San Francisco feature length independent film, Trattoria, a father-son story wrapped around cooking. The film was written by Dale’s nephew Director Jason Wolos and Producer Dawn Rich, and has been shown at many film festivals nationwide and internationally.

With the opening of the Tahoe Art Haus & Cinema, previously the Cobblestone Cinema, Wolfdale’s thought it would be fun to collaborate with the new cinema to show Trattoria and host a tasty event for the community.

Food movies never tasted so good, Trattoria is much like the Big Night, Moonstruck, and Eat Drink Man Woman and the most recent Hollywood ‘indie’ - Jon Faveau’s Chef. Trattoria serves up the culinary culture set in the exciting San Francisco restaurant scene and artfully combines on-screen storytelling with powerful narrative from real chefs. The feature film stars Tony Denison (Major Crimes, The Closer), John Patrick Amedori (Almost Famous, Gossip Girl) and is peppered with personal restaurant stories that are seamlessly woven in from celebrity chefs like Elizabeth Falkner (The Next Iron Chef), Traci Des Jardin (Top Chef Masters), and local Tahoe chefs like Douglas Dale, Billy McCullough, and Mark Estee.

The event will begin at the Tahoe Art Haus & Cinema with hors d’oeuvres, wine, the movie and a Q&A, then guests will head to Wolfdale’s courtyard for an after party with food, bocce and music by Greg Rodman. It is sure to be a great event!

The film will continue to show throughout the weekend, please inquire at the Tahoe Art Haus & Cinema for more information.
